We went to the Brandenburg gate on our tour – it was one of many cool stops. The Brandenburg gate has a statue of the goddess victory but originally she was the goddess of peace but obviously she didn’t do a very good job for Berlin! But that is not the reason they renamed her. When the French stole Eirene, the goddess of peace the Germans were pretty mad so when they got her back they renamed the plaza it looks over ‘Paris’ and the statue … Victory! HA HA look at that – Victory over Paris!
